Lead the right way
We expect honesty, accountability and respect from athletes, coaches, volunteers and leaders.
Built for the game. Here for the community. Scenic Valley Athletic Association exists to give Iowa athletes a place to compete, develop and belong—supported by coaches, families and neighbors who care.
Scenic Valley Athletic Association is a nonprofit Iowa travel ball organization supporting youth travel baseball and fastpitch softball. We create clear pathways for teams and players, organize meaningful competition and build partnerships that make the experience stronger for everyone.
Founded by Boone County residents, Scenic Valley is rooted in the community that brought the organization together. That local foundation does not define a boundary: athletes, families, coaches and teams from surrounding communities are welcome when Scenic Valley is the right fit.
Travel competition should complement strong community programs, not replace them. We encourage our athletes to participate in their local Little League and recreational leagues whenever possible, staying connected to their hometown teammates while pursuing additional opportunities through travel play.
Scenic Valley teams may pursue appropriate USSSA and other Iowa tournament opportunities based on age, experience, roster needs and season goals.
Our work is grounded in a simple idea: youth sports can teach skills that last long after the final out—resilience, responsibility, teamwork and respect.
The standard is bigger than the scoreboard. These principles shape how we organize, communicate and compete.
